The work explores the topic of social polarization and the loss of self-reflection. The installation of stretched textiles creates a space full of tension, expectation and confrontation. It reflects the interaction between the viewer and the object, and works with the materiality and transfer of meaning from the interior to the surface of the object. The project explores the possibilities of an active surface as the vehicle of a liminal experience which may be disturbing – but also stimulating.
